The Best Netflix Original Movies of 2021 Ranked by Rotten Tomatoes (Photos)

A list of the 15 highest-rated Netflix originals from this year

rotten tomatoes netflix movie reviews

Netflix has substantially increased the number of original films it releases each year, and 2021 was packed with a variety of features. They varied from star-studded blockbusters like the Dwayne Johnson/Gal Gadot/Ryan Reynolds heist film “Red Notice” to holiday-themed romantic comedies like “A Castle for Christmas” to, of course, awards season fare like the acclaimed “The Power of the Dog” and the Lin-Manuel Miranda-directed musical “tick… tick… BOOM!”

Given the breadth of content Netflix released in 2021, many may be wondering: what was the cream of the crop? Below, we’ve assembled a list of the best Netflix original films of 2021 ranked by Rotten Tomatoes score. While some of the streaming service’s more star-filled fare like “Red Notice” and “Don’t Look Up” proved divisive for critics, there’s no lack of great films on the below list – which varies from international dramas to animated sci-fi adventures.

Where ties occurred, we ranked the films according to which had more reviews – an 88% with over 200 reviews is more heavily vetted than an 88% with just eight reviews, for example. The list is also made up only of narrative feature films, so this does not reflect the bevy of great documentaries that were released on Netflix this year.

Check out the list of the 15 top Netflix movies of 2021 below.

Screen Rant

21 best netflix original movies (according to rotten tomatoes).

As Netflix continues to pump out original content at an astounding rate, check out their finest in-house cinematic efforts to date.

Netflix continues to be a rock-solid tour de force in the world of modern cinema. Though the screens on which its original series and movies are presented are a far cry from those at your local cineplex, they still hold strong. Day after day, Netflix churns out fresh content at an intimidating pace. It's a company that craves original material, has gained a reputation for giving creative control to the filmmakers it brings on board, and it plans on pushing the film and television industry in new directions.

Naturally, with all of the content it puts out, some misfires are bound to happen. Nobody (and no multi-billion dollar company, for that matter) is perfect. But don't let the misfires fool you. Because when Netflix succeeds, they not only prove their worth among other major film studios, but give the Hollywood elite a run for their money.

People have had their doubts about Netflix. Could it really rival the bigger studios? Could it create content that measures up to the big leaguers? Well, creativity may be just subjective, but according to the critics, Netflix appears to be doing just fine. So, if you're tired of shelling out cash at an overpriced theater, stay home, kick back, and check out one (or all) of the  21 Best Netflix Original Movies (According To Rotten Tomatoes) .

iBoy, ARQ, The Siege of Jadotville, and I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House – 60%

Sitting pretty at a comfortable 60 percent on Rotten Tomatoes are four films of considerably distinct styles. One of these movies is  iBoy , a sort of science fiction/superhero hybrid that delves into the world of technology and where it might take us in the future.  ARQ is another flick that takes a dark look at the future, where the world's resources are in jeopardy. Threaded into this desperate plot to protect the future is a claustrophobic setting, time-looping, and sociopolitical themes that are just as topical in the film as they are today.

The other two films are  The Siege of Jadotville and  I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House , a war picture and haunted house story, respectively.  Jadotville recaps the 1961 Central African siege of Jadotville (and stars Jamie Dornan of 50 Shades of Grey fame), while  Pretty Thing revolves around a stay-in nurse who starts to believe that the house in which she's working may have a ghost problem.

All four are fine efforts from Netflix.

 XOXO – 71%

In  XOXO , there are four stories and one focal point: an EDM festival. Add in romantic entanglements, some road trips, and underdog dreamers, and it might just seem as throwaway as any other coming-of-age drama. But to Netflix's credit, it's not. This movie brushes through the lives of young 20 and 30-somethings just trying to find some meaning. Even if that meaning is as fleeting as a romantic gesture.

EDM is all about sensory elevation, and whether or not this sort of movie is your cup of tea, you might appreciate its attempt to bring that same sort of elevation to a visual medium. It gives this confidently modern movie about the goings on of the modern young adult some creative juice — more so than many other coming-of-age movies tend to pull off.

 To The Bone – 71%

Putting the plight of the human experience front and center,  To the Bone is a stark and unsettling look into the world of eating disorders. Lily Collins stars as Ellen, an anorexic girl who feels as though she might be trapped inside her condition. No matter what she does or who she turns to, her health continues to diminish. So, desperate, she seeks new outlets — one of them being a doctor (played by Keanu Reeves) who seems willing to do whatever is necessary to help her get better.

Anorexia is an often overlooked problem, one that's often not treated with the same urgency as other physical ailments.  To the Bone attempts to change that, offering a more intrusive perspective into the life of someone dealing with anorexia whose life is literally counting on her ability to overcome.

 Brahman Naman – 75%

First, there was  Porky's.  Then, there was  American Pie . And now, there is  Brahman Naman . But what is that these three films have in common? A group of young men trying their damnedest to get laid.

These characters have devoted so much of their time to burying their faces in books and perfecting their knowledge of information that the average human couldn't care less about, that they've missed out on fine-tuning their ability to woo women. Which has resulted in dire consequences (which is really just a more polite way of seeing that they are  hella horny ). So, to fix their problems (which seem simple enough at first), these guys do whatever is necessary to find a member of the opposite sex, woo a member of the opposite sex, and hopefully have sex with a member of the opposite sex.

Just keep in mind that secondhand pity is a serious side effect from watching this movie. You know, if you're the empathic type...

The Fundamentals Of Caring – 77%

Seeing as Paul Rudd is in just about anything, it shouldn't come as a surprise that he eventually made his way to Netflix . Only, in this particular cinematic venture, he's not exactly the funnyman that he's spent so much of his career crafting. In  The Fundamentals of Caring , Rudd's character is based in tragedy. But it's safe to say that said tragedy has a chance at some healing.

In this movie, Rudd plays caregiver to a disabled teen (Craig Roberts), and over the course of the film, these two gents have a shot at self-healing once they take to the road and traverse the US for some far-from-spectacular sight-seeing. They pick up a hitchhiker (Selena Gomez), mend some old wounds, and share some solid chemistry in the process.

 Pee-wee's Big Holiday – 80%

If Netflix has proven that it can do anything, it's bringing back old favorites. They've breathed new life into  Wet Hot American Summer ,  Full House , and  Arrested Development , and in 2016, they brought back Pee-wee Herman.

Not the most expected choice, but an ultimately successful one,  Pee-wee's Big Holiday   pushes the titular character out the door and onto the road, allowing Paul Reubens to flex those zany muscles of his once again. And, oddly enough, it takes Joe Manganiello to give him the push he never knew he needed.

If you're already a fan of Pee-wee, then this is a no-brainer in terms of whether or not you should check it out, but if you're not... you're still in good hands. The physical, over-the-top comedy is a staple in this world, and it's done considerable justice in the hands of Netflix. Assuming you give it a shot. Which you should.

 Barry – 80%

Before he became the President of the United States, Barack Obama was just a young guy trying to find himself. However, instead of  Barry  being about how Obama grew up into the man he came to be, from child to chief, it settles on a specific moment in time: Columbia University, 1981.

Barry (Devon Terrell) is beginning his Junior year at Columbia, and even though the audience is well aware where he'll eventually end up, he goes through the same sort of motions that any other student in his shoes might experience. Family drama, fitting in, falling in love... it's the sort of underdog setup that is all too familiar, but equally unique to a man who would one day be head of state.

This is a deep dive into an intimate setting, and instead of tripping over the typical political tropes in other "day in the life" biographies,  Barry has a balanced footing and manages to stand its own ground.

 Spectral – 80%

Militarized ghosts aren't exactly a run-of-the-mill hook, so Netflix deserves some credit for taking a chance on an unusual genre hybrid. In  Spectral , soldiers are infiltrating an area, only to find out that it's lethally booby-trapped. With ghosts.

Naturally, the Special Ops team patrolling the place have no idea how to eliminate this threat, and it seems as though no matter what sort of creative attempts they make to fight back, they're continually one-upped by this mysterious band of specters. Which is exactly what you might imagine would happen while fighting an invisible enemy.

This flick is like a cross between  Black Hawk Dawn and  Ghostbusters , and though it's technically a made-for-TV movie, it has the feel of a classic Hollywood blockbuster written all over it. If major studios never believed that Netflix could pull off big-scale genre pictures,  Spectral  may have singlehandedly proven them wrong.

 Tallulah – 84%

You know those stories that start off spiraling out of control and then refuse to stop spiraling out of control?  Tallulah is one of those movies.

Living in her van, broke, defeated, and [enter self-destructive life example here], Lu (Ellen Page) finds herself on the hunt for a boyfriend who unexpectedly left her, taking every penny she had with him. Which wasn't a lot to begin with. Then, by a stroke a strange happenstance, she rescues a baby from a socialite who hardly seems fit to parent (even though Lu herself hardly seems fit by anyone else's standards). This pushes her through a parade of complications, where a resolution seems hopeful, but unlikely.

Lu ends up forming a connection with her runaway boyfriend's mother (played by Allison Janney), but only because the mother is under the impression that the baby Lu stole is her own grandson.

 Burning Sands – 85%

Whether they've experienced it firsthand or not, most people are well aware of how harmful college hazing can be. But  Burning Sands strips assumptions to the bone and puts the ill-will of tradition front and center.

Trevor Jackson stars as Zurich Condoll, a Frederick Douglas University student who is preparing to join one of the university's most renowned fraternities. He's well aware that the hazing process is possibly more intense than he can imagine, but considering what he believes this fraternity can do for him in the long run, he dives in headfirst. And takes the hits, so to speak.

What he discovers, however, is an untethered community of violence that does little more than inflict pain and perpetuate fear. What's worse is that this tradition — despite the school's "strict hazing policies" — is still revered by the school's authorities, essentially allowing what ought to be criminal activities to go unpunished.

 Okja – 85%

If you're a vegetarian/vegan, you're going to weep and nod through the entirety of this movie. And if you're  not a vegetarian/vegan, you're going to weep and wonder how the hell you ever allowed yourself to so much as  imagine eating meat for as long as you have.

From Bong Joon-ho ( Snowpiercer , Mother ),  Okja   is as simple as it is complicated. On one hand, it's a sort of coming-of-age adventure about a young girl and her pet. But on the other hand, it's a film protesting the glutton of capitalism. By way of a cuddly pig monster.

It sounds strange, and that's because it is.  Okja  is a globetrotting road movie that has a very clear message to convey, but it does so in as strange and off-kilter a way as only Bong Joon-ho can. Jake Gyllenhaal's performance might annoy people so much so that finishing the movie seems like a chore, but given that the rest of it is near-perfect, it's definitely worth a go.

The Incredible Jessica James - 86%

Breaking up sucks. And if you spend enough time mulling it over, prepare to slip down a rabbit hole of all of your most depressing and frustrating emotions. Then again, if you're Jessica James (as in,  The Incredible Jessica James ), then the pep in your step might do you some good.

After a painful breakup, Jessica (Jessica Williams) refuses to let go of her slightly unrestrained personality. And in fact, that's exactly what seems to be helping her get through her current rough patch. In this moment of self-discovery, she explores the city in which she lives and even has a go at dating, which isn't really working out the way she hoped. Until she meets Boone (Chris O'Dowd). But even then, true satisfaction isn't completely certain.

And no, this is not a spinoff to  Jessica Jones . In case you were wondering.

I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore – 88%

Ever get to a point in your life where you can't contain your frustrations anymore? It feels like the world is out to get you, and nothing you do doesn't seem to make a damn difference. Well, that's exactly how Ruth (played by Melanie Lynskey) feels after someone breaks into her apartment and steals her grandmother's silverware.

So, with the help of her neighbor, Tony (Elijah Wood), she takes matters into her own hands and retraces the burglar's steps to hopefully find them, her silver, and an apology. But things don't exactly go according to plan.

This is a dark comedy revenge picture, and it's perfectly content exposing a brutal truth of this world that some people ( most people? ) aren't nearly as decent as you'd hope they'd be.

 Imperial Dreams – 91%

It was only a matter of time before John Boyega got the chance to take whatever project he could ever want after starring in  Star Wars: The Force Awakens . His current filmography has him starring in Kathryn Bigelow's  Detroit and his next big blockbuster (not counting  The Last Jedi ) is the epic sequel to  Pacific Rim . But in between, Boyega also starred in the Netflix original film, Imperial Dreams , where he plays a ex-con trying to start a better life for himself.

His character, Bambi, describes the life that he lived before prison as a prison itself, making his quest to be better than he used to be that much harder to achieve. And with a son to take care of, he's that much more desperate to pave himself a new path.

Beasts Of No Nation – 91%

Civil war is raging in a West African country. Blood is being spilled, families are being separated, and children are left with no choice but to train and fight as guerrilla soldiers. One of these children is Agu (Abraham Attah). After his family is killed, he flees for safety, only to be found by a group of rebels led by the Commandant (Idris Elba, who everyone bet an arm and a leg on being nominated at the Oscars, but was snubbed regardless). The Commandant isn't just a powerful leader, but a monster. He forces Agu to submit to him and serve him, and with no other options at his disposal, Agu obliges.

Beasts of No Nation   isn't exactly an easy watch, but the acclaim that it's received is a testament to writer/director Cary Fukunaga's vision. It's a raw and jarring trip, but a necessary watch for all film aficionados. Even those who swear that Netflix will never live up to its ambitions .

 Win It All – 93%

When a criminal asks you to hold a duffel bag filled with money, and you just so happen to be an addictive gambler who has a knack for losing, then either A) politely turn him away, or B) padlock the bag and throw away the key. In  Win It All , Eddie (Jake Johnson) simply can't himself, and once the inevitable temptation gets the better of him, he treats the money like it was his own. Which leads to obvious consequences.

Eddie is the kind of guy who assumes the best, but also ends up with the worst, but in his current predicament, screwing up could easily land him six feet under. Thankfully, though, Johnson, Keegan Michael-Key, and Joe Lo Truglio, among others, allow a solid amount of comedy into the mix to lighten things up while Eddie tries to figure out how he'll replace the money he spent and lost.

Deidra And Laney Rob A Train – 94%

Deidra and Laney are two high school girls in a bit of financial trouble. But that's putting it lightly. Their mother is in prison, they have zero income, and all they want is a good for life for themselves. Sadly, the prospect of getting into college, let alone affording their electricity bills, seem too far off to fathom.

Until they get an idea. A train passes through their back yard every day. And they're going to rob it.

Hardly textbook criminals, these young girls are desperate and creative — which makes for an interesting combination. Together, they create an elaborately detailed plan to  quite literally rob the train and then sell whatever items the train is hauling for cash. Which is exactly what they do, managing to pull in money that they could have never even dreamt of.

But therein lies the problem. Where there are criminals, there are police, and if they're not careful, all of that train robbing may have been for nothing.

 Tramps – 95%

To make some quick cash, the plan is simple: Danny and Ellie (played by Callum Turner and Grace Van Patten, respectively) need to make an exchange. Swap one bag for another. Only, Danny screws up and swaps his bag with the wrong person, forcing the two of them to travel through cities and suburbs to replace the bag, fix the problem, and make their easy money. What ends up taking precedence is the relationship that begins to grow between the two of them.

Tramps is all about young love, young mistakes, young desperation, and young ideals, which is basically another way of saying that it's all about screwing up on a regular basis. Which is kind of encouraging in a way, seeing as imperfection is often more than a little relatable. Not unlike this movie.

9 Netflix Original Movies and TV Shows With 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

A few Netflix movies and shows have a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. Here is what critics loved about them.

It’s always fun to be the leader of the pack. In an era where people are spoiled for choice regarding streaming services, Netflix continues to dominate the market, mainly because it got here first, and partly because it has so much content to offer. From licensed movies and shows to original productions, there is always something for everyone. Netflix is also available in more countries around the globe, making it a worthy consolation for viewers tired of seeing the message: “This streaming service is not available in your location.”

However, Netflix’s high supply has created a bigger problem. While finding the most popular shows on the platform is easier, finding the cream of the crop is harder. For every Mea Culpa being recommended to the viewer, there is a better, critically acclaimed, film/show lurking underneath. In fact, subscribers who prefer the best quality will be glad to realize that there are a few Netflix productions with a flawless 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes . All they have to do is look at the list below and click on the search bar.

9 Mr. Roosevelt (2017)

Mr. Roosevelt marks the directorial debut of Noël Wells, better known for her roles in Master of None and Star Trek: Lower Decks. Here, she is a struggling comedian trying to make it in Los Angeles. Things worsen when she is informed that the pet cat she left under her ex-boyfriend’s care in Austin is sick. When she gets there, she finds that it has already died. As if that’s not bad enough, she realizes he has moved on with a woman doing much better than her.

Noël Wells Leaves Everyone in Awe

Unlike the character she plays, Wells got it right with her first attempt at glory, proving you can do a lot with a thin cast and limited locations. The film has glowing reviews, with each platform praising a different aspect. For instance, Filmotomy notes how the film is a fun amalgamation of drama and comedy, explaining that it “holds its balance and finds a combination of the two that works on nearly every level.” Various reviewers also wax lyrical about the actress-cum-director. A Chicago Sun-Times piece reads, “Wells is a talent as a storyteller and as a director with a nice visual touch, and as a screen presence.”

8 Giri/Haji (2019)

Co-produced by Netflix and the BBC, Giri/Haji is one of the most suitable suggestions for anyone looking for shows about the Yakuza . Events revolve around Tokyo detective Kenzo Mori, who is mean enough to refer to his ‘black sheep’ brother, Yuto, as a “brainless loser,” but also caring enough to go look for him in London, where he is hiding after allegedly killing a mob boss’ nephew in Japan. Much of the show thus revolves around Mori knocking off the teeth of baddies as he tries to clean after Little Bro’s mess.

A Detailed Crime Thriller

Girl/Haji has been reviewed by close to 100 critics, and none of them found any blemishes. A Ready Steady Cut article declares that “there is nothing else like it on television.” Fans of The Sopranos and Peaky Blinders might disagree, but it's somehow true. No other show combines the underworlds of two countries (England and Japan) as beautifully as this. Additionally, the show excels by covering a lot of ground and never appearing convoluted. A review from The Daily Beast reads, “Everything's intertwined, and the fact that the series never becomes overly messy and manages to keep a rigid focus on its well-drawn characters... is a testament to its craftsmanship.”

The 50 Best TV Shows Streaming on Netflix Right Now

7 creep 2 (2018).

Found footage horror movies don’t come better than Creep 2 . The horror flick is about a serial killer (Mark Duplass), who lures his victims by posting job ads for videographers. The film follows the delusional killer as he tries to bond with his target, Sara, hoping that she will develop some form of Stockholm Syndrome. As expected, things don’t go well for him and the film ends with him getting struck by a shovel in the head. But there is a lot of mayhem before that happens. Though this film doesn't have the Netflix Original branding, it was partially produced by Netflix in addition to being distributed by the service.

As Good as the Original… With Some Extra Spice

It’s common for sequels to underwhelm, especially if the original film was too good. Thankfully, Creep 2 offers the same thrills as the first movie, while also curving its path. The Rotten Tomatoes site consensus reads, " Creep 2 has everything that made the original work and more — more laughs, more awkwardness, more unsettling terror." A Reel Rundown review lauds the sequel for being both terrifying and addictive. It reads, “This is the type of film that makes you squirm in your seat due to its uncomfortable nature, but your eyes remain glued to the screen because the thought of missing some crucial detail is just as horrific as a serial killer videotaping all of his kills.” An equally glowing review comes from Decider . The publication concludes this “is the perfect scary movie for people who loathe traditional horror films.”

6 The Baby-Sitters Club (2020 – 2021)

This show is based on the children’s book series of the same name. The Baby-Sitters Club covers the triumphs and challenges of five middle schoolers as they run a babysitting firm in Stoneybrook, Connecticut. Regrettably, it’s now remembered for being one of the critically acclaimed Netflix shows that were still canceled . Despite glowing reviews, the show ended abruptly after Season 2, and online petitions to revive it have all fallen on deaf ears.

Relevant to Modern Times

Adapting old books and tailoring the story to fit modern times is always challenging, yet The Baby-Sitters Club accomplishes that easily. All major and minor publications heap praise on the teen series. For example, Pop Culture Maniacs lauds the show for “capturing the heart of its source material while creating a modern series that old fans and new will fall in love with.” The performances of Sophie Grace, Momona Tamada, Shay Rudolph, Malia Baker, and Alicia Silverstone certainly help in telling a compelling adaptation of the original stories.

5 His House (2020)

Undoubtedly one of the greatest Black horror movies ever made, His House follows a South Sudanese family’s immigration journey. The couple and their daughter flee their war-torn country and head to Britain via the English Channel, only for their daughter to die during the crossing. Once in London, they are offered a shabby home in a neighborhood where they are subjected to racial abuse. Soon after, they realize the house is haunted.

A Strong Directorial Debut

Remi Weekes’ British Academy Film Award for "Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer" was more than deserved. His House adequately addresses socio-political issues while still managing to be frightening. The Rotten Tomatoes consensus notes that the movie is “a terrifying look at the specters of the refugee experience and a stunning feature debut for Remi Weekes.” A few notable reviews in particular come from The Los Angeles Times and Rolling Stone . The former describes it as “one of those return-of-the-repressed freakouts in which suspense and social conscience effectively breathe as one," while the latter glorifies it for its “uncanny merging of political experience and the usual, perilous haunted-house thrills."

4 Mo (2022)

Seinfeld' s success in the ‘90s influenced many comedians to create and star in their own shows . Today, the trend remains, and one of the must-see offerings in this category is Mo . The show follows a fictional version of comedian Mo Amer as he deals with the challenges of being a Palestinian refugee residing in Houston, Texas. As he handles the day-to-day activities, Mo also works hard to gain citizenship.

Eye-Opening Insights Into the Harsh Worlds of Immigrants

In a country that has often reported incidents of xenophobia and racism, the immigrant experience isn’t always pleasant, and the series boldly highlights this fact. But as La Nacion points out, it does this “without sacrificing humor and hope.” By structuring itself as a comedy, the show also addresses what could have been deemed too dark for a drama. Deadline Hollywood acknowledges this through a colorful piece that reads, “Mo goes places we almost never see or hear on the small screen — with swagger, sensitivity, and purpose.” Sadly, Season 2 hasn’t premiered yet, despite a renewal announcement being made in early 2024.

3 Heartstopper (2022 – Present)

Based on Alice Oseman's graphic novel and webcomic of the same name, Heartstopper tells the story of a gay teenager, Charlie Spring (Joe Locke), who falls in love with his classmate. Additionally, there are parallel subplots, which revolve around Charlie’s friends of differing backgrounds. The show has been widely praised for its tender portrayal of LGBTQ members, and in its first season, it earned nine nominations at the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards.

Something for All Generations

Many teen dramas struggle to appeal to both younger and older audiences, yet Heartsopper effortlessly does so. The BBC confirms this in its review, noting, “There is a weird melancholy after you finish watching. That melancholy is evident because I think for some people in their 30s, or in their 20s, or who aren't in school anymore, they never had this." San Jose Mercury News , on the other hand, acknowledges the show’s relatability to youngsters. Its review reads, “This is an ideal series for anyone in high school who feels the pangs of being different. It’s realistic but never bitter. You’ll fall for it just like Charlie and Nick fall for each other.”

Heartstopper

2 blue eye samurai (2023).

Blue Eye Samurai is set in Japan during the Edo Period (a few decades when the country adopted Isolationist foreign policies by shutting its borders to foreigners). Outsiders, or children born to them, are thought of as impure, so a few Samurai hunt them down. Interestingly, one of them is Mizu ( Pen15 ’s Maya Erskine), whose father was white, meaning she has blue eyes. As she tries to prove she belongs to Japan, she is forced to deal with the prejudice directed at her.

Akita Kurosawa Comparisons… and a General Fun Atmosphere

For any project to be compared to Akira Kurosawa’s works, it has to be superb. Well, some critics feel that what’s on offer here matches the legendary director’s brilliance. Hipertextual declares that the series “strongly resembles some of Akira Kurosawa's classic films. The battles are set against a backdrop of pure anguish, the use of landscape to integrate the action.” The Atlantic also showers adoration, explaining that the “the series takes the trappings of a heroic action-adventure and turns them on their head, crafting a bloody, emotional drama that is riveting from the very first frame.”

Blue Eye Samurai

20 best b-movies on netflix to stream right now, ranked, 1 dash & lily (2020).

Different people have varying opinions about Christmas, but it remains the most anticipated holiday every year. Adapted from Rachel Cohn and David Levithan’s young adult book series, Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares, Dash & Lily covers a teen romance that unfolds over a Christmas week. Dash (Austin Abrams) expresses cynicism, insisting that there is nothing good about the holiday, while Lily (Midori Francis) radiates all the necessary cheer. The two thus try to convince each other to shift sides and join their team. The series was nominated for a whopping 14 Daytime Emmy Awards.

Simplicity in a Crowded Field

Various movies and shows about Christmas come out every year, so it’s often hard to stand out in this field. Surprisingly, Dash & Lily shines effortlessly without having to tweak the formula. The only difference is that the cast and crew members apply themselves. In line with that, Film Companion has a firm and precise take: “If all rom-coms took the genre more seriously as this one, we would not be subjected to the typical fluff that is churned out almost every week." Vox ’s review is also one of the many that were summed up to give the film a Tomato score, and it reads, “ Dash & Lily just works. Abrams gives good smolder, and Francis is terrific, delivering a breakout performance in a role that could be intensely annoying but that she makes wounded and winning.”

Baby Reindeer: Limited Series Reviews

rotten tomatoes netflix movie reviews

The obsession story is reminiscent of Misery (1990)... [Full review in Spanish]

Full Review | Original Score: 7/10 | Apr 30, 2024

There is nothing pat or simplistic in the way Gadd lays it all out across seven half-hour episodes, and, most interestingly, there is very little self-righteousness afoot.

Full Review | Apr 30, 2024

Baby Reindeer feels disturbingly real.

Full Review | Apr 28, 2024

This show exists entirely in moral greyness and ruthlessly puts the fragility and self-destructiveness of human beings under a white-hot spotlight.

Full Review | Apr 27, 2024

This series balances being deeply unsettling and being darkly humorous. Baby Reindeer is foreboding and fascinating.

Combining Nighty Night/League of Gentlemen-esque laughs with the tone and atmosphere of a horror film, it’s a difficult, provocative work full of palpable pain and humanity.

Full Review | Original Score: 5/5 | Apr 26, 2024

While this is a difficult series to watch, it’s a wonderful mix of haunting and rewarding, thanks to the truthfulness of the storytelling and the gripping performances.

Baby Reindeer is honest: it does not try to hide its identity as a series about trauma nor does it wrap the poison in a bonbon. [Full review in Spanish]

Full Review | Original Score: 4.5/5 | Apr 25, 2024

A horror story couched in the recesses of comedy, it’s a painful, compelling viewing experience. The line between wanting to know what happens and wanting to back away is thin and dangerously sharp; Gadd never settles for anything less.

The whole series is remarkable, half confessional and half thriller.

Full Review | Apr 25, 2024

In practice, the series repeatedly and clumsily conflates the horror of abuse with the simple fact of queer sexuality.

In a way, as a viewer, your experience mirrors that of Gadd. You desperately want it all to stop but can’t quite bring yourself to press the off button. And you’d be right not to do so: this is a masterpiece.

Baby Reindeer is much deeper than the comedic limited series about a plus-sized stalker tormenting an awkwardly tall and skinny bartender portrayed in the trailer.

Full Review | Original Score: 5/5 | Apr 25, 2024

"Baby Reindeer" is not what you expect; it's much darker, unsettling, and emotionally resonant — an important and extraordinary journey. It’s far from an easy watch, but it may be one of the most rewarding of the year.

Full Review | Original Score: 5/5 | Apr 24, 2024

There's nothing really like this series, and its unique story makes it vital to the television landscape.

Full Review | Original Score: 9/10 | Apr 23, 2024

In fact, as is made beautifully clear in Baby Reindeer, the truth is that human beings are not well-oiled machines who act with clean, comprehensible logic.

Full Review | Apr 23, 2024

At seven episodes, it may be at least a couple too long. At times, all the same, it could choke you with sobs and leave you shuddering in grim recognition. Different, troubling and really good.

Full Review | Apr 22, 2024

Baby Reindeer is irresistible, quality TV.

It's messy, thought-provoking, and — like a dream that's difficult to shake — you'll find your mind going back to it long after the credits have rolled.

Baby Reindeer makes for difficult, sapping viewing despite some moments of dark, deadpan humour and assured execution. But if it becomes tiring to watch, we can only imagine how draining it must have been to live through...

7 new to Netflix movies with 90% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes

Netflix is kicking off 2024 by adding these critically acclaimed movies

Netflix on TV with remote control in foreground

Netflix is starting strong in 2024 with the first month of a fresh year bringing with it a host of critically acclaimed new movies to the streaming service, including some classics as well as an original feature that is generating some serious awards buzz.

Whether you’re looking for a white-knuckle space thriller that will have you holding your breath throughout or a cinematic masterpiece about an island amusement park overrun with prehistoric creatures, the list of movies added to Netflix this month is delivering the goods.

All the new to Netflix movies on this list have scored at least 90% on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes . Of course, that doesn’t guarantee you’ll enjoy them all, but it’s a solid indication that a movie is at least worth adding to your watchlist. For more streaming recommendations check out roundup of what's new on Netflix this week.

How to Train Your Dragon (2010)

An image from How to Train Your Dragon showing Hiccup and Toothless the Night Fury

Set in the mythical Viking village of Berk, Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) doesn’t quite fit in among his warrior family. Struggling to live up to the expectations of his village chieftain father, Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler), Hiccup hopes to earn acceptance by slaying a dragon. But when he encounters a deadly Night Fury he is unable to kill the beast.

Instead, Hiccup befriends the creature and nurses him back to health from an injured tail. Naming him toothless, the unlikely duo join forces to put an end to the terror that is wreaking havoc on both their worlds and also prove that Vikings and dragons don’t have to be enemies. With charming animation, excellent comedy and a heartfelt story, How to Train Your Dragon is a movie that soars on all fronts.

Gravity (2013)

Sandra Bullock as Dr. Ryan Stone in Gravity

Gravity is so intense you might find yourself reaching for the pause button just to steady your breathing as it’s hard not to get wrapped up in the plight of its two main characters, Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) and Lieutenant Matt Kowalski (George Clooney). The science-fiction thriller centers on the duo's fight for survival in the harsh conditions of space after they are hit by debris during a spacewalk.

Masterfully directed by Alfonso Cuarón — who more than earned his Best Director Oscar the following year — Gravity puts you right alongside Stone and Kowalski and thanks to its industry-leading special effects you’ll genuinely fear for their safety as they desperately battle to stay alive and find a way to return to the Earth's surface. The performances from Bullock and Clooney are also excellent, and while there’s no denying that Gravity was made to be watched on the big screen, it’s still a heart-pounding experience even when watched at home.

Genre:  Sci-fi Rotten Tomatoes score:   96% Stream it on  Netflix

The Florida Project (2017)

Willem Dafoe as Bobby Hicks in The Florida Project

William Dafoe gives a career-best performance in The Flordia Project, a compelling drama that explores the juxtaposition between childhood innocence and the harsh realities of the adult world. At the movie’s core is Moonee (Brooklynn Kimberly Prince), a precocious six-year-old, who lives in a rundown motel in Kissimmee, Florida. Located in the shadow of the Disney World theme park, Moonee and her friends spend their days interacting with motel guests and getting into mischief.

Meanwhile, her mother, Halley (Bria Vinaite), struggles to make enough money to keep a roof over their heads, and the gruff-but-kind motel manager (Dafoe) tries his best to help the family. The Flordia Project is a tender movie about an often uncaring world, and while it’s not always an easy watch, it’s got a powerful message and excellent performances. Just be prepared for an emotional gut punch, as this movie reflects the harsh realities of modern life and the ending is particularly sobering.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)

Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was the second movie in history to win all five major Oscars (Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenplay), which should be enough to convince you of its immense quality. Based on the 1962 novel of the same name by Ken Kesey, it packs career-best performances from its whole cast but most notably Jack Nicholson and Louis Fletcher.

Often cited as one of the greatest movies ever made, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest sees Nicholson play Randle McMurphy, a prisoner with a violent history who pretends to be insane in order to be transferred to a specialized ward and avoid hard labor. But the ward is overseen by the cruel and malevolent Nurse Ratchet (Fletcher), and soon a battle for control breaks out between the pair. Netflix’s popular Ratched series with Sarah Paulson is a prequel to this movie, so be sure to watch it if you enjoyed that show.

Genre:  Drama Rotten Tomatoes score:   93% Stream it on  Netflix

School of Rock (2003)

(L-R) Robert Tsai as Lawrence, Jack Black as Dewey Finn and Rivkah Reyes as Katie in School of Rock

If you’ve somehow never heard of School of Rock, it sees Jack Black play a slacker with a rock music obsession who takes a substitute teaching gig at a stuffy prep school under the pretense of being his roommate. With no educational qualifications whatsoever, he neglects to teach his class the academic syllabus instead converting them into his bandmates so he can win a local Battle of the Bands competition.

Adapted for Broadway in 2015, and spun off into a Nickelodeon show the following year, School of Rock may be more than 20 years old, but its popularity has never waned, and it’s as delightfully charming and obsessively quotable as ever. Black is at the peak of his powers as Dewey Finn, a role that was tailor-made for him (White Lotus creator Mike White wrote the screenplay and was Black’s neighbor at the time), but also watch out for excellent performances from Joan Cusack, Sarah Silverman and a young Miranda Cosgrove.

Genre:  Comedy Rotten Tomatoes score:   92% Stream it on  Netflix

Jurassic Park (1993)

(L to R) Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler, Joseph Mazzello as Tim Murphy and Sam Neill as Alan Grant, tending to a Triceratops in Jurassic Park

Few movies have left such a dinosaur-sized footprint on the film industry as Jurassic Park. But in case you somehow need an introduction to this Steven Spielberg classic, it centers on the eponymous wildlife park on the fictional Isla Nublar which is home to a horde of genetically recreated prehistoric creatures. However, when sabotage leads to a shutdown of the park’s facilities, the dinosaurs are let loose and the island’s visitors are in grave danger.

Starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Richard Attenborough, B.D. Wong and, of course, Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic Park is a titan of Hollywood. It’s a movie that has been influencing other movies for three decades and has more iconic moments than I could hope to list here. But Jurassic Park isn’t just a fountain of memes and memorable lines, it’s also a thrilling adventure that has barely aged a day. It’s simply a masterpiece.

Society of the Snow (2023)

Society of the Snow on Netflix

A new survival drama from J. A. Bayona, director of 2012’s The Impossible, Society of the Snow is a Spanish thriller that recounts the true story of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which crashed in the frozen Andes mountain range in 1972. The surviving passengers find themselves stranded in one of the most brutal environments on the planet, and with no rescue imminent they are forced to resort to extreme measures to stay alive.

As food runs out and the bitter cold begins to bite, the survivors must consider the unthinkable to survive. Society of the Snow had a limited theatrical run last month, but its release on Netflix in January 2024 will open it to a wider audience. That’s a very good thing as it’s received plenty of praise from critics and is the Spanish entry for Best International Feature Film at the upcoming 96th Academy Awards.

rotten tomatoes netflix movie reviews

According to Rotten Tomatoes, these are the best films on Netflix UK right now…

The most critically-acclaimed movies on Netflix are all here...

Best biographical films

Netflix has thousands upon thousands of movies on its streaming platform, and, if you’re not careful, you can find yourself spending longer picking out a film t han actually watching it.

If you want to speed up the decision-making process, then you can always let the critics narrow down the selection for you.

To that end, we’ve dug into Rotten Tomatoes’ list of the top 100 movies of all time, and rounded up which ones you can currently find on Netflix.

The Irishman

Best Netflix movies UK

Netflix will be happy to see this drama , which it ploughed between $159 million and $250 million into, depending on which reports you believe, sitting pretty in Rotten Tomatoes’ list.

An epic in every sense of the word, The Irishman saw director Martin Scorsese bring together Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci for a grand saga, which charts the journey of Frank Sheeran (played by De Niro), a truck driver who wound up becoming a hitman for the notorious mobster Russell Bufalino (Pesci), a man with connections right into the heart of the US government.

A mammoth watch at three hours and 29 minutes, the scale, performances and attention to detail of Scorsese’s epic all wowed the critics.

Roma on Netflix

Alfonso Cuarón's 2018 team-up with Netflix proved to be another critical success for the man behind Gravity and Children Of Men.

A deeply personal film, Roma is based on Cuarón's own upbringing and is set in the early 1970s. It follows Cleo, a housekeeper for a middle-class family in Mexico City, who helps to look after married couple Antonio and Sofía and their four children.

Initially, things are fine, but when Antonio suddenly runs away with his mistress and Cleo finds out that she's pregnant, everything is thrown into turmoil.

To get some breathing space, Sofía decides to take the kids on vacation, and invites Cleo along to help. It’s a trip that will change everything.

As well as directing this film, Cuarón also wrote, produced, shot, and co-edited this film, taking the ‘hands-on’ approach to whole new levels..

A press shot from the movie Spotlight

This starry drama is our first recipient of the Best Picture award, beating the much-loved epic The Revenant to take the Oscar in 2016.

The film focuses on the travails of the Boston Globe's Spotlight team, the oldest continuously operating newspaper investigative journalist unit in the US, and in particular its work on exposing  widespread and systemic child sex abuse in the Boston area by Roman Catholic priests.

Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 97%

The Farewell

Netflix

Awkwafina and writer-director Lulu Wang teamed up for this gentle comedy, which Rotten Tomatoes scores at a formidable 97% on its critical rankings.

The film, which began life as an episode on the radio and podcast series This American Life, follows a Chinese-American family who, upon learning their grandmother has only a short while left to live, decide not to tell her and schedule a family gathering before she dies.

Naturally, that decision brings some consequences, often hilarious ones.

Arrival

Denis Villeneuve has yet to make a critical misstep, even if his big-budget sci-fi sequel Blade Runner 2049 failed to find much success in theaters.

His peak thus far is Arrival, an elegant and cerebral piece of science-fiction, the likes of which hadn’t been seen before.

We watch on as the world reacts to the arrival of 12 extraterrestrial spacecraft, which hover over various locations around the Earth, provoking different reactions and re-opening old wounds.

As nations teeter on the verge of global war, the US tries to establish communication with the new arrivals, and decides to send in Amy Adams’ linguist Louise Banks and Jeremy Renner’s physicist Ian Donnelly. Can the two find a way to communicate with the extra-terrestrial visitors and avoid catastrophe? It’s a race against time.

Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 94%

Marriage Story

Marriage Story

Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson’s searing portrait of the demise of a marriage is a tough watch, but an absolutely gripping one.

Written and directed by indie master Noah Baumbach, the film documents the unravelling of the marriage between Driver’s Charlie, a successful theatre director, and Johansson’s Nicole, an actress hoping to revive her career with the offer of a new TV show in Los Angeles, an opportunity which would force her to move her young son away from their life in New York.

Some of the scenes are wince-inducing, but the performances are stellar, Baumbach’s writing is brilliant, and it remains an essential watch.

The Invisible Man

Invisible Man movie

Horror maestro Jason Blum oversaw this chilling new take on H. G. Wells' novel, which was a hit at both the box office and with critics.

The Invisible Man stars Elisabeth Moss as Cecilia Kass, a woman trapped in a violently abusive relationship with a wealthy optics engineer and businessman named Adrian Griffin.

Soon after Kass finally works up the courage to leave Griffin, she learns that he’s apparently killed himself. However, a series of strange coincidences in Cecilia's life start to turn lethal, forcing her to work to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see…

12 Years A Slave

Best biographical films

Steve McQueen’s brutal drama was a triumph with critics, audiences and Academy voters, who rewarded it with the Best Picture Oscar in 2014.

Chiwetel Ejiofor stars as Solomon Northup, a free-born African-American man who was kidnapped in Washington, D.C. by two conmen in 1841 and sold into slavery. The film documents Northup's journey as he battles to stay alive and recover his freedom in the face of appalling cruelty.

It’s a must-watch, although you may find yourself watching much of it through your fingers due to the realistic brutality.

Argo

Many were surprised when Argo beat out competition from Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty and Silver Linings Playbook to take home the Best Picture Oscar in 2013, but that didn’t mean the film failed to impress the critics.

Directed by and starring Ben Affleck, the film retells the bizarre tale of the CIA mission to rescue six US diplomats who were in hiding in Tehran after they avoided capture when Islamist students seized the American embassy in 1979 . The CIA team pulled off the rescue under the guise of scouting locations for a science-fiction film.

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

Netflix’s own take on August Wilson’s 1982 play holds a sizable 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and with its gorgeous production design and top-drawer cast, it’s easy to see why.

With a cast led by Viola Davis, Chadwick Boseman, Glynn Turman, Colman Domingo, and Michael Potts, the movie documents a particularly turbulent and bloody recording session for  Ma Rainey, an influential blues singer in 1920s Chicago.

Tragically, the film ended up being the final appearance of Boseman, and the movie is dedicated to his memory.

1917

Sam Mendes’ pacy World War I thriller scored 10 Oscar nominations, and was lauded by critics when it arrived in cinemas in 2019.

The film is set amid the carnage of the Western Front, and follows two British soldiers, Will Schofield (George MacKay) and Tom Blake ( Game Of Thrones star Dean-Charles Chapman), who are sent on a mission to deliver orders to call off a doomed attack and save hundreds of soldiers from certain death.

Starring alongside MacKay and Chapman are some of the top British actors, including Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, Daniel Mays, and Richard Madden.

Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 89%

L.A. Confidential

LA Confidential

While launching the careers of then relative unknowns Guy Pearce and Russell Crowe, this 1997 adaptation of James Ellroy's novel was an instant hit with critics.

The film, which also starred Kim Basinger, Kevin Spacey, and James Cromwell, wound up earning nine Oscars nominations and two wins.

L.A. Confidential follows three very different cops, one straight-laced, one in the maverick mould with a violent streak, and another after fame and headlines, all of whom become obsessed with finding the person responsible for an unsolved murder at a downtown Los Angeles coffee shop in the early 1950s.

Never Rarely Sometimes Always

This tender drama was a runaway success when it debuted on the festival circuit in 2020, and continues to charm audiences.

Starring Sidney Flanigan in her first role, and Talia Ryder, the drama follows Flanigan's Autumn Callahan, who discovers that she’s pregnant, but can’t get an abortion in her native Pennsylvania without parental permission.

Confiding in Skylar, her cousin and best friend, the two decide to travel to New York for the procedure, but run into all kinds of trouble along the way.

Baby Driver

Baby Driver

Edgar Wright’s whipsmart action spectacular was his biggest commercial success to date, and it’s easy to see why.

Powered by a handsome cast and an impeccably curated soundtrack, Wright has always had a knack for blending high-tempo action with laugh-out-loud comic beats, as shown in Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, but here he takes the formula to a new level.

Liam Neeson's Netflix movie lands strong Rotten Tomatoes rating

"A cut above the average Neeson thriller."

preview for In The Land Of Saints And Sinners - Official Trailer (Madman Films)

The film sees the action star play Finbar Murphy, a retired assassin who is drawn back into the game due to a trio of terrorists.

The Irish thriller , which was previously released in US cinemas, is available now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland, and looks to be another winner for the Taken star – sitting at 82% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Many reviews have praised In the Land of Saints and Sinners as "a cut above" the average Neeson thriller, though others have criticised some of the more clichéd aspects of the movie.

Here's what critics have been saying:

"A solid, old-fashioned Irish Western about what it means to hang up your rifle. It isn’t especially deep, but it’s good to see Liam Neeson find some character depth among the usual shooting and grumbling."

" In the Land of Saints and Sinners [is] a cut above the average Neeson thriller, even if Neeson himself seems more at peace than ever with being a hired gun."

"The feature finds its essential tension in its approach to Neeson’s on-screen image – here, playing a gentle elder embedded in a quiet town, but also unforgettably an actor that has buttered his bread shooting up criminal henchmen for nearly two decades now."

liam neeson in the land of saints and sinners movie, his character stands in front of a caravan and looks concerned

Screen International

"Neeson looks as strong as ever in the ‘big lad’ role: he’s 71, and signs are that he will just keep on sinning – as long as there is a child in distress."

The Guardian

"There’s bits and pieces of entertaining stuff here, a few sharp lines and a gonzo final shootout, but the overall tone of cliche is a bit wearing, correctly signalled in the title, which appears to misremember the phrase 'saints and scholars'."

The Hollywood Reporter

"The script is awash in clichés and the movie lacking in excitement despite plenty of guns and knives and bombs. The best that can be said about In the Land of Saints & Sinners is that it’s at least cast with Irish actors, so the accents are authentic, if the same can’t be said for much else."

In the Land of Saints and Sinners is streaming now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.

Netflix’s new supernatural fantasy series with a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score is climbing up the streaming charts

Dead Boy Detectives is rising up Netflix's Global Top 10

Dead Boy Detectives

Dead Boy Detectives , a wonderfully dark and quirky spin-off series of The Sandman, is climbing the Netflix streaming charts.

The supernatural fantasy premiered on April 25 and is now no. 3 on the Netflix Global Top 10, sitting right behind true crime dramas The Asunta Case and Baby Reindeer.

Dead Boy Detectives, based on the comic book characters by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, stars Jayden Revri and George Rexstrew as Charles and Edward, two dead best friends who stay on earth to solve paranormal mysteries that help ghosts move on to the afterlife. The cast includes Kassius Nelson as their psychic friend Crystal Palace, Yuyu Kitamura as Crystal's bubbly flatmate Niko, Jenn Lyon as resident wicked witch Esther Finch, Briana Cuoco as Jenny the Butcher, Lukas Gage as Thomas the Cat King.

The show initially debuted with a Rotten Tomatoes Critic score of 81% before jumping to 91%. The audience score currently sits at 84%. One critic called it a "charming, queer, and wildly fun teen supernatural detective dramedy," with another writing that it "captures the Young Adult angst we’ve been missing from television." Our own review calls the show a "deeply moving exploration of loss, grief, sexuality, and love that will break your heart and mend it over and over again."

Dead Boy Detectives season 1 is streaming now on Netflix. For more, check our list of the best new TV shows coming your way in 2024 and beyond, or, check out our guide to the best Netflix shows to stream right now.

Miller's Girl

While Anything But You is set to dominate Netflix’s Netflix top 10 movie charts for what has to be several weeks, the service has just added a new movie starring another young star getting lots of buzz. And arguably Netflix’s own highest profile actress. That would be Wednesday herself, Jenna Ortega.

The film is Miller’s Girl , where Ortega played a student having a romantic relationship with her professor, played by The Office/The Hobbit ’s Martin Freeman. This movie created a lot of buzz when it was first introduced, and steamy Ortega scenes began circulating around the internet.

However, the film itself is…not very good, despite its initial high profile. Miller’s Girl has a 29% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a not-much-better 42% from fans. Plus a dismal 5.2/10 on IMDB.

Ortega’s non- Wednesday roles since that series debuted have been a bit hit or miss. She was part of the Scream VI ensemble (an important part, it turns out) which has a 76% score (though she just dropped out of the sequel). But her other film besides Miller’s Girl , Finestkind , has a 30% critic score and few may have heard of it, due to it being a Paramount Paramount Plus original.

The Best Gaming Laptops Under $1,000: Boost Your Games For Less

Ortega has quite literally six other movie and TV projects lined up for the next few years, a high profile one being Beetlejuice Beetlejuice the… Beetlejuice sequel which will see Michael Keaton return to the role alongside Ortega.

Netflix is positively dying to get Wednesday back on screens for season 2, and I do wonder if Ortega’s busy schedule may be a touch problematic. I have to believe that she’s prioritizing her highest profile project by a mile, however. Many may not realize it but over time, Wednesday season 1 has become Netflix’s most-watched single season by viewers ever, topping even the previous season of Stranger Things . 252 million views, 1.7 billion hours watched. Insane, and no wonder Netflix is prioritizing the second season above all else. We’ve started to hear about casting for season 2, Steve Buscemi and Thandiwe Newton so far, so things are taking shape, it seems.

As for Miller’s Girl, it’s debuted at #4 on the charts and I bet it might rise higher than that (though it won’t beat Anyone But You ). It does not seem worth your time, even if you do like Ortega, but Netflix isn’t going to tell you that with its obtuse and quality-obscuring rating system for its movies and shows. But make your own judgement.
