As we all know that the university has started the submission of IGNOU Assignment for TEE June 2024 session. IGNOU assignment status and marks for TEE December 2023 are now uploaded with the TEE Result December 2023 so keep checking the assignment status regularly to get your marks. IGNOU Assignment Status Update Process & Time

After submission of assignments through any of the available methods, the assignments goes for an evaluation to the evaluator of the study centre or regional centre. Once Evaluator has successfully evaluated your assignment then they will either upload your marks directly on the IGNOU Official Site or it will be sent to IGNOU Delhi for updating online and thereafter it can be seen by each student to get their report. In some cases, the study centre first evaluates the assignment, after evaluation, they send the marks to the regional centre and then the concerned authority at RC uploads the marks online which definitely takes some time.

IGNOU Assignment Status Meaning

When you check through the IGNOU assignment status, you may come up with three different statuses accordingly. Here are the meanings of these statuses that you notice on the window:

Received to be Processed: This status means the portal has received the assignment successfully.

Received and in Process: According to this status, the authorities have downloaded your assignment to start the evaluation.

Check Grade Card Status for Detail: Finally, your assignments are checked and marked.

IGNOU Assignment Result and Marks 2024

The assignment status will show you when the evaluation is done. The university will start updating your marks on the grade card as soon as the evaluation of the assignments is done. So, you must check the grade card after the assignment status says you to do so.

Step – 1 – Visit the official IGNOU portal at www.ignou.ac.in and go to Student Zone.

Step – 2 – Search for Results and click on it.

Step – 3 – From the left panel, click on Grade Card.

Step – 4 – Provide your program, course, and enrolment number to search and get your grade card.

As you see your grade card, you can check whether the university has updated your assignment marks on it or not. If the search results are leading to an error, this means the university has not yet started updating the grade cards of the students for this semester.

What If IGNOU Assignment Status Is Not Updated?

Sometimes the update process of IGNOU Assignment status gets delayed for an unknown reason like the evaluation of assignments is delayed in the concerned study centre or maybe the regional centre has not uploaded your assignment marks online. Candidates can wait till the declaration of the result to get updates on their assignment but if you are not able to find your assignment status or marks even after the release of the TEE Result then you need to connect with centre where you submitted your assignments.

The IGNOU has released the guidelines that students must comply while preparing and submitting their assignments. Here are the updated guidelines:

All the assignment should be hand written.

Students must use A4 ruled paper (unless it is instructed on your TMA).

Leave 4 cm margin on left and right side of each page.

Do not use staplers, to bind the pages; you use need threads (what is typically found with cover files).

Avoid using any ink colour other than blue and black.

First you need to attach the cover page (You will find it at your study centre).

Then, attach a photocopy of your IGNOU ID card.

After that, attach a copy of your TMA (question paper on your assignment document).

Lastly, attach your hand written answers.

Leave one blank page in the end.

Do not use any files while submitting your assignments. Your assignment should only consist of the pages, tied with a thread.

You must take a submission receipt, which will be stamped by the study centre with submission dates. In case, your study centre is unable to provide you one, take a photocopy of the cover page of your assignment and get that stamped.

Note: For submission of practicals, you need to use a cover file.

How to Download IGNOU ID Card

ID Card is generated automatically by the IGNOU Samarth software after the confirmation of admission. July 2024 admission batch student need to wait for some time to download the same. To download ID card student must login to the IGNOU Samarth Account. For new student it is mandatory to create account on Samarth portal for which the the process is given below.

IGNOU ID card is an authorized official document issued by University after admisison. ID card contains your name, enrollment number, photographs etc. Click here for steps and ID Card download link. ID card also has the facsimile of Registrar's signature on it and other information also on it which proves you are IGNOU student.

To download IGNOU ID card, First student need to create account on IGNOU Samarth portal . If you have already created account on IGNOU Samarth portal then you can download ID card from your Dashboad after login. IGNOU ID card has been made available on the the samarth portal from January 2020 admission session onwards . Students of July 2019 admission batch or earlier need to contact the Regional Center for ID card for hardcopy ID Card. Before 2019 admission there was a provision of offline ID card.

Once IGNOU admission is confirmed an Enrollment number consisting of 10 digits is allocated to the learner. Student should note down enrollment number carefully.

Step to Download IGNOU ID Card If you have the User id and password of your student account then the procedure for downloading the IGNOU ID card is very easy. If you have not created student account then you need to first create student account ( Click here ). You only need to follow given steps to get successfully downloaded your ID card in pdf format. In case you have forgotton password then you can Reset Password easily (steps given below).

Since IGNOU offers distance learning, hence book or study material is sent only for student who has taken admission in ODL (Open Distance Learning) mode. If any ODL student has not received books by post then they can download study material and use till the receiving of hard copy study material. Student who has taken admission in online (OL) Mode will not be provided hard copy book and they need to study with soft copy material on LMS (Learning Management System) portal.
