Pence Perry Powder Coating®, LLC is a business that will be owned and managed by Engr. Pence Perry and his immediate family members. They are the sole financier of the business which is why they have decided to restrict the sourcing of the start – up capital for the business to just three major sources. These are the areas we intend generating our start – up capital;

  • Generate part of the start – up capital from personal savings and sale of his stocks
  • Generate part of the start – up capital from friends and other extended family members
  • Generate a larger chunk of the startup capital from the bank (loan facility).

N.B: We have been able to generate about $100,000 (Personal savings $70,000 and soft loan from family members $30,000) and we are at the final stages of obtaining a loan facility of $150,000 from our bank. All the papers and document has been duly signed and submitted, the loan has been approved and any moment from now our account will be credited.

One of our major goals of starting Pence Perry Powder Coating®, LLC is to build a business that will survive off its own cash flow without the need for injecting finance from external sources once the business is officially running.

We know that one of the ways of gaining approval and winning customers over is to offer our powder coating / metal plating and treating services a little bit cheaper than what is obtainable in the market and also to ensures that our finished jobs can favorably compete with the best in any part of the world and we are well prepared to survive on lower profit margin for a while.

Pence Perry Powder Coating®, LLC will make sure that the right foundation, structures and processes are put in place to ensure that our staff welfare are well taken of. Our company’s corporate culture is designed to drive our business to greater heights and training and re – training of our workforce is at the top burner.

The number of powder coating companies in India is growing massively due to industrialization and fast urbanization, attracting many foreign direct investments. What is powder coating?

Metal (and to a lesser extent plastic and some others) components and products often tend to be powder coated when they need to be ‘painted.’ The powder coating is sprayed with a positive charge onto the product with an electrostatic paint sprayer and the charge attaches it firmly where it’s cured (with heat) to then set and stay in place as a chemically-bonded coating.

Thermoset powder coatings in particular are very durable due to the hardwearing nature of thermoset plastics (although it must be noted that you can choose from a wide selection of thermoplastic and thermoset polymers with different properties to powder coat depending on your needs). The polymer coating protects against scratches, chips, and any other abuse that the product may suffer. It’s also water-resistant which can protect items made from ferrous metals. They can fade over time when in the sun, but the coating will not flake away like some traditional paints.

Liquid paints tend to have a shelf-life, too, whereas the powder for powder coating often lasts a lot longer meaning that you’re less likely to need to purchase more. Add this to how fast it can be applied and that a product that has been powder-coated won’t need another coating (unlike painted products – think of your garden fence, for example), and it’s quite a cost-efficient process.

Finally, the electrostatic charge used to attach the powder coating to the product means that no solvents and other harmful chemicals found in paints are used. That lack of VOCs is better for air quality and the staff doing the painting, too.

Can everything be powder coated?

There are a lot of materials that can be powder coated. However, there are some exceptions to the lists:

  • Fabric – Will not tolerate the high heat levels of the curing process.
  • Wood – Isn’t always electrically conductive and cannot always tolerate the extreme temperature.
  • Plastic – Same as wood, it is a material without a charge, and it is not heat-resistant.
  • Glass – Does not always work if the glass cannot withstand the heat.
  • Other items that cannot hold an electrostatic charge.

We also specialize in powder coating on complicated componenets with masking and jigging needs.

Our facilities allow us to offer powder coating, sandblasting, stripping, pretreatment, assembly, packaging and shipping. Cleaning of the Base Material before Pre-Treatment.

The base material to be powder coated needs to be cleaned to remove all excessive dirt, oil, grease, and grime from the part. These needs to be brushed, scrubbed or clothed wiped to get good results and to avoid bath pretreatment spoilage.

Pre-Treatment of articles to be powder coated.

The Pre-Treatment process is a 7 or 8 tank process where the degresing, derusting, Phospate or Chromate coating and Passivations is done. This varies based on the composition of the metal to be Powder Coated and end cutomer specifications .

Powder Coating of the pretreated materials Electrostatically

The already pre-treated componenet is dry cleaned and powder is sprayed electrostatically on to the article in an enclosed dust free chamber. There are various types of powder like pure epoxy, epoxy polyester, Pure Polyster etc.

Oven Curing of the Powder Sprayed Materials

The powder coated articles are then moved to the oven for curing at the required temprature as specified by the powder manufacturer or as required for the article to be cured well and to bond with the base metal so as to achive the desired finish.

Inspection & Packaging of the coated components.

Quality at Bisco is of utmost importance to all accociated with the process and as with each process the finished product is fially inspected for any quality issues and packaged as per customer specifications and dispatched.
