If I Were A Millionaire Essay

500 words if i were a millionaire essay.

Money is a crucial necessary element without which survival is unfeasible. One cannot compare money with love and care because both are equally essential for our life to sustain happily. Each part has its significance and plays a different role. Every person on earth wishes to become a millionaire and change their prevailing conditions to offer a better future for themselves. I dream of becoming a millionaire so that I can provide things for my family, which they have always longed for.

If I were a Millionaire

I belong to a middle-class family. My mother, father, elder sister, and I are four of us. My parents have always supported us and given us all that was possible for them. I could see the struggle behind their smile and happiness, but they never said anything. We live in a small house, trying to adjust ourselves to the restricted space. So, the first thing I will buy is a big house with a vast garden and a balcony. My father loves painting, so I would buy him expensive canvas board, paints and brushes and tell him to paint the best picture he could ever imagine. Since my mother loves plants, I would help her set up the garden of her dreams.

My sister is into makeup and styling, so I would shop enough to give her all she desires. Also, I would buy a car for us and travel across the nation. A trip to Disneyland and a Europe tour would be booked for the four of us. Moreover, I would visit Japan, the country I have been eyeing for years. In the words of H. Jackson Brown Jr, “Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” I completely subscribe to the statement, as giving increases our chances to receive goods in abundance. So that money that comes pouring to me should be showered on the people who require them the most.

Future minds need to comprehend and value what they get from nature and their role as givers. Medical treatment is the most expensive thing in India because people die. So, I would build a hospital catering to the needs of the underprivileged and needy section of our society and ensure that they receive treatment without any bias at a cheap cost. Furthermore, I would open a school where practical learning holds more substance than rote learning. This school will provide education to poor children who cannot afford admission to regular schools.

I will provide basic amenities to the remote areas. I would even erect schools in rural areas where the children of farmers learn while working in the fields. Schools and a free library will be opened to access various books in different languages. In such a way, they will have a pool of diverse knowledge. The nursing homes and orphanages will be donated money as and when required. The people who face unemployment will be provided financial aid until they get stable and find a job.

For me, to become a millionaire requires dedication and belief in myself. I need to work hard to achieve what I want in my life. Simply wishing and not displaying actions won’t suffice. Therefore, I should pray harder and study well to help others. In doing so, I need to set up a business of my own to keep on going and doing what I desire for others. Lastly, I don’t want to exist and make a living; I want to make a life by what I give. By being a millionaire, my objective will be to utilise my wealth in the interest of society.

If I Were A Millionaire Essay

I am not a poor man, but I am not a very rich man either. In any at least, I’m not a millionaire. Hence, I don’t have money enough and to spare it. I have money only necessary for fulfilling my simple, common needs.

I’m in the habit of taking imaginary flights. Keeping such a habit in view, I just imagine myself to be a millionaire.

If I were a millionaire, first of all, I’d help all my poor relatives. Then I would provide adequate financial assistance to all my friends and acquaintances. However, this assistance to anybody would not be given blindly or at random. I’d first ensure that the person whom I give the assistance to fully deserves it.

Then I’d open new schools where nominal fees would be charged while providing high-class education.

I’d not bungle in the matter of books nor make unnecessary demands on the students regarding fees, donations, or other charges. I’d pay full salaries and perks to teachers according to government grades.

If my funds allow, I might open a hospital or dispensary to cater to the needs of the poor people. The competent doctors would be appointed. They would be paid by me. However, the patients would be charged very little. All treatment free of charge would be provided to the poor patients.

I do not believe in spending money on luxuries or useless functions. My aim would be to serve the people. In case an emergency arises for my motherland or there is a national disaster or calamity, I’d contribute liberally.

English Summary

If I Were Millionaire Essay

It has been very rightly said that “if wishes were horses beggars would ride.” But it is wonderful to have wishes. Even though they may not come true, there is no harm in dreaming. Although I am not a poor man, I would like to have so much money that I could do something for those who are less fortunate than me.

I do not see any harm in having every luxury for myself if I turn I can do something worthwhile for the poor. It has been my dream to see each child well-nourished when I see children on the streets hungry, I feel sad. Although their parents try their best, they cannot provide them with withfood, clothing and shelter.

Then they turn to beg I were a millionaire I would do my best to provide permanent shelter, food and clothing to the poor. I would open schools for them where they can study. I would help them to be so independent that they can find fruitful employment forthemselvesI would also build hospitals so as to provide them with good medical facilities.

India has progressed a lot and we do have good medical facilities but poor people cannot afford them. If a poor child falls sick, there is every possibility that he might die due to lack of medicines and doctors.

I would like to build a hospital with modern facilities where people will get medical assistance free of cost would donate money to social service organisations like destitute homes, orphanages, homes for the aged and reformatories. Unfortunately when one becomes extremely rich, one tends to forget the plight of those who are less fortunate.

My motto would be, “live and let live” In fact, I would do all that I can for my parents too so that they may not have to break their backs working for us. I would like to enjoy the fruits of money but I would always remain sensitive and sympathetic to the agony of those who are less fortunate

If I Were a Millionaire

Would that I was a Prince or a King or a Prime Minister or a millionaire. But sir, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. This is not a reality. It is possible only in dreams. It is just pious wish.

But if perchance the Mammon (god of Wealth) is gracious to me and he showers piles of wealth on me, I will not let the opportunity slip out of my hands. I will catch it by the forelock. I very well know that time; chance and tide wait for none. If I miss this all-time opportunity of my life, I shall be a fool of the first water; which I do not want to become. Like all others, I, too, want to grow rich.

If I get millions of rupees in my pocket, I shall be the master of the situation. We know that money makes the mare go. I shall complete all my incomplete jobs. I shall get a cozy and comfortable house in a posh colony. I will get it decorated by a first class interior decorator. I will spend money like water. I shall buy a Royal Royce car. I shall purchase all the conceivable (which one can think) luxuries of life. I shall not walk on earth. I shall soar high in the sky. I shall soar wingless. I shall be as free as the air itself.

I shall go round the world not in eighty days as a well-known novel of the similar name proclaims. I shall visit all the countries in the world. I shall go from east to west and from the north to the south. I shall drive to the other end of the globe. The money will not be a constraint (compulsion) in the pursuit of my ambitions. I shall amuse myself in a hundred ways. I will be the luckiest chap of the world, amassing of untold wealth will be my sole aim.

But I should not count my chickens before they are hatched. I should return to the place of reality. I should walk on earth. I must not build castles in the air.

Essay on If I Were a Millionaire

( Write a short essay/article/paragraph on If I were a Millionaire for class 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 200-250 words in English, important for the exam. )

Everyone has a desire to be a millionaire . I have also a desire to become a millionaire. Would that I were a millionaire ! If I win a lottery and become a millionaire , I would spend the money. I purchase some necessary things for my parents.

I shall help the poor , the sick , and the needy . I shall open schools for the poor . There will no fee for the poor students.

I find that many people still die for want of proper medical aid. I would, therefore, open a dispensary for the poor . This would save the poor from the jaws of death.

I find that there is at present no provision for the support of the orphans and the widows . I would, therefore, lose no time in opening an orphanage and a widow house. They will work there and live honorably.

This is how I shall make use of this money. There may be, people will laugh at me for spending my money in this manner but they perhaps do not realise that the inner happiness that a man gets out of helping the poor and the needy is something more valuable.

When I see people like Oprah who’s one of the richest people on the planet, but doesn’t have children it crazy to think about. Who will she leave her fortune to, I feel people should want to carry on a legacy. When you have money at your disposal how hard would it be to raise a child? Most rich people hire nannies, maids, chefs, but don’t have to lift a finger. Isn’t life sweet? I were rich and I didn’t want children, I would stay college funds for kids, or give money to homeless shelters, or orphanages. To many people are sleeping on the street, without even a bite to eat at night, but you have people that could feel an entire football field with money, is quite bizarre. When people set out for marriage they want the dream of it all, nice dress, nice ring and spending an eternity together. What happens when this falls through, having a marriage end is hard for both people. Having children is hard, but when the couple is at widths end, how would the relationship be for that child. This why so many children are emotionally traumatized. Mostly for women, how could you want to start a family with someone who you aren’t married too. I would for people around the world to not be exceedingly greedy. In life, money in reality has no real value; we only believe it has value because we buy things with the money. However, in the sense of survival, money is actually only used for kindling. What I don’t understand is why billionaires and corporations demand more money when they are essentially making more money. For corporations, of course they have to make money; although the techniques they use are destroying the wellbeing of their workers. It truly hurts acknowledging that people are working in very poor conditions, for long working hours, for pennies a day. It is depressing how these people are forced to work for their survival; yet conglomerate corporations plainly ignore their conditions. I wish for these tactics to change; I want the United Nations to set international regulations on workers’ rights and conditions especially in developing countries. There needs to be change in this free market economy; because humans are more valuable than money. I also wish for the abolishment of slavery around the world. It may seem surprising, but in 2015, there are slaves in numerous countries around the world. In the modern day, human trafficking is the slavery of previous centuries. People are currently being traded around the world for ransom; and in turn, these people are used to work for them. This is truly an…

The Gospel of Wealth

Andrew Carnegie, author of “The Gospel of Wealth”, was a philanthropist who argued that “Individualism, Private Property, the Law of Accumulation of Wealth, and the Law of Competition;”(Carnegie,p.24) was only beneficial and experienced to a small percentage of society’s wealth. Carnegie argued in his excerpt that, “there are but three modes in which surplus wealth could be disposed of.” These modes include leaving all the accumulated wealth of that person to the family, leaving all their wealth at death to be donated for specific public uses, and spending their wealth throughout their life for the common good of society. Carnegie believed that if wealth was not administered appropriately, then society would continue to suffer due to the fact that the rich would get richer and the poor would continue to experience poverty; which is still evident today.…

Individuals will be individuals. This includes people from any sort of social class, whether it be rich or por. People say that those that are wealthy tend to often be ridden with distaste and selfishness. However, it is not the money that has made them to be like that, it takes something much to define a person as who they are. There seems to be a disagreement similar to what came first chicken or egg; what came first the egotism or prosperity. Based on what I have researched and discussed, I can say confidently that money isn’t what makes affluent people more snobbish or selfish, but instead their background and raising; their wealth is only an coincidence.…

If I Have 10 Million Dollars

Nevertheless, I'd admit that having a million dollars would be a lot of fun. I wonder how much of a million would be left after tax? I'd even give some to help the folks who can't help themselves, but, unless I suddenly became some kind of financial genius, all that money would disappear quickly.…

If i were a billionaire

If wishes were horses, even beggars would ride. But sometimes dream come true. My wishes are hopelessly small. But there is no check on one’s fancy. Fancy is my luxury. I wish I were a billionaire! As a poor man, I have often experienced that Rich men are generally selfish to the extent of being cruel. Their outlook on life is not human but materialistic. They forget that to be rich is not to be in human. When I am rich, I shall not forget god and god’s men. I long to lead some days in comfort. Money will end the state of uncertainty in which I live. Riches are a panacea. Poverty loses friends and makes one disrespectable and unacceptable in society. Wealth attracts and makes one honorable. If I were a billionaire, I would be in the company of rich friends and would be honorable. But being a millionaire is only a part of my desire. I know I get education under very difficult circumstances. So I shall open schools and colleges for the education of all. My great aim in life is to establish a university in the model of ancient Indian universities. I want to go back to our old culture which was once the pride of the world. A wealthy man can do much good to this world. Wealth often spoils man. Money along with comforts and care brings evil also. Rich men are generally victims to one evil or the other. I have natural dislike for the base and the disreputable. I was born human and shall live a pious and noble life. This duty openly man owns to god. I shall fulfill this duty. I shall set a noble example before others and shall be a brilliant light for misguided millionaires. I would very much wish to encourage social service in the country. I shall make a trust which will look after the welfare of orphans. It is a pity that in our country wealthy persons do not possess charitable qualities. I shall lead a noble life and cut down my own expenses so that I may help others to live better.…

To truly help them, I would donate as much as I could throughout the year. However, I would have to know where exactly the money was to be dispersed. If money is given directly to the needy family, I would not want to give my money to that charity. I want to offer my money to a charity that will make sure the money goes to something that improves the lives of the deprived as a whole. Examples of what I would consider good use my donation would be building schools and colleges where the children and adolescents can go for free or starting a training program for the adults who find it hard to get or keep a job. Nestled in the orphanage, I would make sure they get everything that would support their development and take into account that they came from a different background and they need to be treated differently. Briefly, I want to reach the hand of the ill-fated children to give them a hope to live.…

If I Were a Millionaire Essay for School Students

essay on if i am a millionaire

It has been very rightly said that “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride”. But it is wonderful to have wishes. Even though they may not come true, there is no harm in dreaming.

Although I am not a poor man, but I would like to have so much money that I could do something for those who are less fortunate than me. I do not see any harm in having every luxury for myself, if in turn I can do something worthwhile for the poor. It has been my dream to see each child well nourished. When I see children on the streets with no food I feel great pain. Although their parents try their best, they cannot provide their children with food, clothing and shelter. Then they turn to begging.

If I were a millionaire I would do my best to provide permanent shelter, food and clothing for the poor. I would open schools for them where the children could learn I would help them to be so independent that they can find fruitful employment for themselves.

I would also build hospitals so as to provide them with good medical facilities. India has progressed a lot and we do have good medical facilities but the poor people cannot afford these. If a poor child is sick, there is every possibility that he may die due to lack of medicines and doctors. I would like to build a hospital with modern facilities where people will get medical assistance free of cost.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

I would donate money to social service organisations like destitute homes, orphanages, homes for the aged and reformatories.

Unfortunately when one becomes extremely rich, one he forget the plight of those who are less fortunate. My motto would be, “live and let live”. In fact I would do all that I could for my parents too so that they may not have to break their backs working for us. I would make them so comfortable that even in their old age they would feel great to be alive. I would like to enjoy the fruits of money but I would always remain sensitive and sympathetic to the agony of those who are less fortunate.

If I Were a Millionaire

I believe in luck. I am sure that the gates of wealth will certainly be opened on me. That is why I purchase a lottery ticket every week. As soon as I become a millionaire, I shall fulfill all my earthly desires. I will spend each rupee wisely. I shall buy a good house and equip it will all the modern facilities. I shall earmark a big fund for the service of the suffering humanity. I shall keep the remaining money intact. I am told time and again by some pessimistic friends that riches have wings. They also tell me that uneasy lies the head that wears a crown. They discourage me by saying that poverty is a blessing and that sweet are uses of adversity. I have determined to cut off the wings of wealth when it comes to me. I shall make the best use of every penny. I shall invest my money usefully so that I remain rich for the whole of my life. I shall never become poor once the gates of wealth are opened on me. That is why I tell the prophets of doom to keep their counsels to themselves. I continue to try my luck without getting discouraged.
